According to hip hop business website, WooooHa, it was only a matter of time before the rapper/businessman called it quits, due to David Brown Clothing line’s ‘high prices’ and the former G-Unit member’s ‘dwindling popularity.’
The fashion line’s official website, www.davidbrownclothing.com, and chain of other brand sites as well as www.davidbrowncollections.com, have all also been shut down.
The David Brown/Ten-A-Key Clothing collection included jeans, tees, hoodies, and more with Young Buck’s signature “bandanna” print designed onto each article of clothing.
Young Buck, then a G-Unit member signed to 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records, debuted his David Brown Clothing label, based around Buck’s real name, David Darnell Brown, at the MAGIC fashion tradeshow in Las Vegas on February 12, 2008. The website and clothing line first appeared online before that in late 2007.
This has surely effected the rapper’s other fashion business ventures as well, including his Tenakey Timepieces watches which stemmed from David Brown Jewelers jewelry line, whose official website, www.davidbrownjewelers.com, has also been shut down.
In related news, Buck recently dropped a new single titled ‘Did You Miss Me,’ where the rapper brushes on 50 Cent and pours in on rappers who Buck states are quote ‘talking about whatever.’
“Did You Miss Me” is Buck’s first step in making a comeback on the scene since his controversial break-up with 50 Cent’s G-Unit
