When you rely on your cell phone for personal or corporate use, there is always one worry on your mind, the battery running out of charge while you are out. There are a few solutions to this, such as backup battery, or solar power. However, Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has designed a cell phone called Chairman, a self-winding cell phone that makes certain that you never run out of charge.
The problem with the backup battery, you have to always make sure that it has a full charge. Then there is the solar powered cell phones, although the sun is very big most of the time your phone is not out of your pocket often enough to get a decent charge.
Ulysse Nardin’s Chairman incorporates a kinetic charger, much the same as used in watches. This system creates energy with motion itself, which keeps the phone charged at all times. There is one problem with this phone though, if you are lazy and don’t move about much, it will not take that long for the phone to run out of power.
Ulysse Nardin will only be making a limited run of 1846 of the Chairman cell phone, as yet there is no release date.
